There is a great way to help train your brain to think musically. This is it. It is really easy!

We need to “internalise” everything that we play. We do this by humming along to what we are playing. Every single time you learn a new song, scale, arpeggio etc.; hum along to it (or sing it!). We can also do this in reverse. Hum something (or hum part of a song that you want to learn) and then play it.

This process is very simple and very effective in helping connect your brain and your fingers, allowing you to link up sounds with a position on your guitar, so you can learn songs quickly, understand them better, improvise and be creative.
